Urban Ironbark and torrefied Sitka: the 514ce with a tone that combines rosewood and mahogany
The Taylor 514ce Urban Ironbark is a Grand Auditorium guitar featuring a special tonewood: Urban Ironbark, a reclaimed urban wood with a rich red color and a tone that combines the best of two worlds. The high fidelity and clarity of rosewood, combined with the warm, punchy midrange of mahogany. The result is a versatile instrument that appeals to both powerful strummers and fingerstyle players.
The torrefied Sitka Spruce top gives the 514ce an open, played-in character from day one, with a mature dynamic range that normally takes years of playing to achieve. The V-Class bracing ensures excellent intonation, wide sustain, and a balanced tone across the entire register. Aerial inlays in Italian acrylic, a single-ring abalone rosette, and a subtle edgeburst finish give the guitar a contemporary look that combines traditional and modern styles. The ES2 pickup system delivers a natural amplified sound.
The neck is made of Tropical Mahogany with an ebony fretboard and a scale length of 25.5". The guitar comes with a deluxe hardshell case.
The Taylor 514ce Urban Ironbark is for the guitarist who is looking for an instrument with character, a unique story, and a versatile tone.
