Walrus Audio Fathom: four reverb characters from hall to sonar in a compact enclosure
The Walrus Audio Fathom is a multi-function reverb that combines the versatility of a multi-effect with the compactness of a stompbox. Four fundamentally different reverb voicings give you a wide palette to choose from, from classic spaces to experimental textures, without the pedal taking up a quarter of your pedalboard. The Fathom is built for guitarists who want more than one reverb color.
The four programs are Hall, Plate, Lo-Fi, and Sonar. Hall and Plate offer classic, recognizable ambient sounds. Lo-Fi evokes AM radio-like frequencies, with the X-knob further adjusting the frequency range for an aged, filtered character. Sonar is the most unique mode: the reverb effect is thickened with a high and low octave, which can be mixed using the same X-knob for unique, layered textures. The Mod-toggleswitch adds modulation to each mode for extra movement and life in the reverb tail. A Sustain footswitch holds the reverb signal as long as you press it.
The Fathom has a 1/4" input and output and is powered via 9V DC. Controls via Decay, Dampen, Mix, X, Mod-toggle, Program, and Sustain-footswitch.
