Walrus Audio Polychrome: fully analog flanger with a color palette from subtle to psychedelic
The Walrus Audio Polychrome is a true bypass, fully analog flanger that combines the familiar operation of the Julia and Lillian with its own colorful personality. The pedal offers a wide spectrum of modulated textures, from a traditional, full flange to complex, notched effects and even pitch vibrato. The Polychrome is built for guitarists who want to shape their modulation with precision and character.
The D-F-V (Dry, Flange, Vibrato) knob is the core of the Polychrome: at minimum it provides a completely dry signal, at noon a traditional flange, and at maximum a full pitch vibrato. The Shape switch selects the LFO waveform (sine, triangle, or random) for the modulation of the delay line. The Voice switch toggles between two flanging characters: in the lower position a traditional, full-frequency flange, in the upper position a more complex, notched flange with less low frequencies. Rate, Depth, Sweep, and Feedback provide full control over the dynamics of the effect. Top-mounted jacks and soft-switch relay bypass make the pedal ideal for tight pedalboards.
The Polychrome has a 1/4" input and output (top-mounted) and is powered via 9V DC. Controlled via Rate, Depth, Sweep, Feedback, Shape, Voice, and D-F-V.
