Walrus Audio Silt: Tube-Driven Harmonic Fuzz Developed with Tube Expert Jim Hagerman
The Walrus Audio Silt is no ordinary fuzz. Developed in collaboration with tube expert Jim Hagerman, the Silt combines an internal preamp tube with a fuzz circuit for a rich, layered tone that you won't get from a purely digital or transistor-based pedal. The result is a fuzz that sounds warm, organic, and full, with a character that perfectly suits chords and rhythmic parts.
The Silt works as two pedals in one. In standard mode, it delivers a massive, rich fuzz tone with plenty of sustain and character. With the Harmonic footswitch, you activate an additional circuit that adds unique harmonic overtones to the signal before it reaches the tube, for a more complex, layered sound. The Contour knob determines the frequency profile of the fuzz, while Gain, Tone, and Volume control the overdrive, tone color, and output volume.
The Silt has a 1/4" input and output and is powered by 9V DC (300 mA). Controls include Volume, Tone, Gain, Contour, and Harmonic footswitch.
