Walrus Audio MAKO ACS1: world-class amp simulation, stereo and MIDI-ready on your pedalboard
The MAKO ACS1 is Walrus Audio's answer to the question of what a top-tier amp simulator should look like. The pedal combines beautiful-sounding amp and speaker models with a range of features you'd expect from a flagship pedal: a switchable boost, built-in room reverb, MIDI in and out, and the ability to use two different amps simultaneously in stereo. The ACS1 is built for guitarists who want to combine the flexibility of a pedalboard with the tone of a real amp.
The ACS1's amp and cabinet models sound open, dynamic, and realistic, with a response that closely mimics a real tube amp. The tone control via Bass, Middle, and Treble provides full command over the EQ profile, while the Gain knob covers the spectrum from clean to crunch. The boost footswitch adds an extra layer of gain or volume for solos or dynamic moments. The built-in room reverb adds a subtle spaciousness without the need for a separate reverb pedal.
The ACS1 features stereo I/O, a headphone output for silent practice sessions, USB in, MIDI In, and MIDI Out. Bypass is adjustable as true bypass, buffered bypass, or DSP bypass. Power supply via 9V DC center-negative (300 mA). Controls include Bass, Middle, Treble, Volume, Gain, and Room Reverb Level.
