Powers Electric Guitars — boutique hollowbodies from the designer behind Taylor Guitars

Powers Electric is the electric guitar brand of master builder Andy Powers, known as the designer and CEO of Taylor Guitars. From his years of experience as a luthier, he developed an instrument that doesn't simply copy a classic design, but offers a completely new approach to the electric guitar.

The result is the Powers Electric A-Type: a lightweight, fully enclosed hollowbody guitar with a unique shape inspired by the surf, skate, and hot rod culture of Southern California. With a maple top, Urban Ash body, and innovative details such as proprietary Faraday pickups and the CamTail vibrato system, almost every component has been specially developed for these guitars.
